“First of all I want to thank you my Pakistanis.
Whenever I called you. You never disappointed me. I am greatly thankful.
Pakistan, today, is contrary to Quaid and Allama Iqbal’s vision. Pakistan on crossroads today: on one end is disrespect, on the other dignity. People who have travelled across cities to reach here, I welcome you. I’m seeing since morning in fact last night. You came from Swat, Sindh, Gilgit, I want to thank you all. I also want to thank you Pakistanis. Whenever I asked you for money be it for SKMH or Namal. You always gave me more and more. As long as there is last drop of blood in me, I will fight for your rights. No one can stop me. I commend Shoaib Siddiqui and Aleem Khan for this brilliantly organized jalsa on such a big scale. I thank you & your teams. I mean serious business today. I am presenting my 11 point agenda today that’ll make this country a Naya Pakistan. Why would Quaid who wanted Hindu- Muslim unity against British, suddenly realize we Muslims need a country of our own?

Quaid and our ideological leader Iqbal envisioned a country with everything that we don’t have right now in this country. Quaid’s intelligence & vision had foreseen Muslims would have to live like how Narender Modi treats them there, in united India. Even the model welfare state of Medina had equal rights for all including Jews & Christians. This country was supposed to be a replication of Medina. And then there was Merit in Medina. Hazrat Khalid bin Walid RA caused most damage to Muslims in Ohad. But when he RA came to fold of Islam, he RA got the title ‘Saifullah’ and appointed General of Islamic battles because of MERIT. And then the state of Medina took responsibility of the destitute. Such Muslims then ruled for 700 yrs. But when Muslims let go of the system based on Justice, they got defeated by Halaku Khan. The last Caliph bowed before Halaku Khan & begged for mercy. To which Halaku replied ‘Only if you spent your gold in gold accounts upon your people. You wouldn’t have had to beg for your life today! Quaid e Azam worked for Pakistan for 40 yrs. Hide his illness so that Pakistan could come to reality. Alas, Middle eastern Muslims took 700 yrs to reach debacle. But we took only 70 years. Today I want to tell you what Pakistan was like a few decades ago. Back when Gen went to US he got respect. Now see the recent times when our PM would go to US. This is a ‘sharamnaak’ thing to have happened at US airport or when he talks with a paper. Forget if it is Nawaz Or Khaqan or whoever. It is Pak’s head of state we are talking about. We were supposed to be exemplary Islamic welfare state; a laboratory of Islam. We should have had scientists, we were to tell the world that we are just and egalitarian.

Today I have 11 points to guide us how we can improve this country. My parents would proudly tell me how they were born in a captive India but I should be proud to open eyes in a free country. A time when Pakistan was fastest country to progress in South Asia. I was born in a govt hospital. PIA was world class airline. Our civil servants were exceptional! In only 5 years under Zardari Pak’s external debt went up from Rs. 6 arab to 13 arab. Under PMLN it has gone from Rs. 13 arab to 27 arab. We are on a self-destruction mode. Today we are taking more debts to pay off previous debts. And this debt has to be paid off by you & me. How will we pay it back? Through inflation. Food will get expensive, petrol will get expensive.2.5 crore kids of Pakistan are out of school. We are only behind Nigeria in terms of out of school children. I want to tell why I came to politics. Why men like me are in politics. Today I want to educate how I came to politics. I was a cricketer. I played in England during summers and toured the world with Pak team in winters. I wasn’t even interested in politics. Then my mother got cancer. I was the only brother of my 4 sisters. I was my mother’s laadla. PMLN calls me ‘laadla’, yes, but I was only my mother’s laadla. I still remember when for once I was to meet a cancer doctor here. I saw an old man come up with several medicines. He told the doctor he has got all the medicines. The doctor told him he missed one medicine. The man turns and I got to see his face. I still remember the misery & helplessness on his face. I asked the doctor about him. Doctor said this man came with his brother from village. His brother has cancer so he works as labour in the day to pay bills & spends nights with his brother. That’s when I decided I will make a cancer hospital where no man would have to take up labour jobs to pay for medicines. Out of 20 doctors in our board, 19 said a charity cancer hospital is not possible. Only one said cancer hospital is possible but not a charity one.I asked wealthy people for donations. Thinking they’d give generous donations. But a man’s compassion is never linked to his bank account, that is what I learned. I still remember how some people gathered up at my place after a hectic day and took me to collect donations. Their Toyota car also broke down in middle. I got furious. They took me to congested alleys. Then stopped by in a masjid. I was by then fuming. Then they got masjid’s loudspeakers to announce that Imran Khan is here to give your donations. A swarm of people gathered in no time. They seemed like the poorest of people. I was ashamed. Some had 5 rs. some had 10 rs to donate. I told them that I swear to God I can make the hospital without your money. But they said ‘No, we want to donate that’s when I realized we have two Pakistans. One where privileged people who can afford to go abroad for treatment & one where poor die and no one bats an eye. Nawaz goes to London for treatment, Shahbaz goes abroad. While common man dies due to negligence. We want to make a Pakistan where common man has dignity. This country should own its people as welfare states do. The accumulated debts have created security threats for us now. Indebted nations are obliged to take dictation from those who give debts. I still remember Saloni Bukhari. An ardent worker. I still remember how she said ‘Imran pray that I live to see Naya Pakistan’. I came to politics. Fought first elections, didn’t even win a single seat. We sought electables even for UC. I would go to Gujranwala & Sheikhupura only to meet a person who was a UC Nazim once upon a time. I still remember the looks Shah Mehmood Qureshi
gave me when I said that Shah saab you are educated, you should be in PTI.I didn’t get it then. Later I understood Shah Mehmood Queshi’s look probably thinking ‘Who is this lunatic’. Now, the key to hearts is in Allah’s hands. This very taanga party has shaken status quo. Today we are at what we call a ‘crossroad’. Currently we are on a path to destruction. Rich getting richer. Poor getting poorer. Hazrat Ali RA said system of kufr may prevail but not the one based on injustice. It means even if you are not Muslim but you have either of the principles of Medina’s state, justice, equality, unity and education, you’d succeed. My 11 points will make this country ONE Pakistan where they’ll be justice for all! This One Pakistan will have uniform opportunities for all. Uniform education, uniform medical facilities.

First point: No nation succeeds that doesn’t spend on its children’s education. Today 8 lac kids study in English medium. While 25 lac in religious seminaries. 3 crore in govt schools. The latter two are mostly from poor families Why can’t we produce Doctors, engineers, lawyers, generals from govt schools or seminaries? Shahbaz Sharif I ask you how many universities at par with intl. level did you make in Lahore? Punjab has most girls out of school, how many girls’ schools have you made? I was treated at SKMH twice. How many hospitals where Sharif’s could also be treated did Shahbaz Sharif make in last 10 years? We will have ONE uniform education system. One uniform curriculum to make ONE nation. Second point: If we can make SKMH out of govt, we can also make state of the art govt hospitals here. The money rich people have to spend for cancer treatment can create new cancer hospitals here everywhere.

We will replicate the Health card, we had in KP all over Pakistan. In KP, people can spend up to Rs. 5.5 lacs on treatment of their family members upon govt expense. I also want to share the good news. A Joint Commission in US has declared SKMH to be a world class medical facility. – But I am happier about how this world class facility is accessible to poor and rich alike. Third point: we lack money to run the country, we are indebted. Today I claim I will collect money right from this nation, we will not need any external debt. If convinced the money is spent in right direction, no one is as generous as Pakistanis. If convinced the money won’t go to buy Palaces or for VIP protocol, this nation has a big heart. Today we collect hardly Rs. 4000 arab, but I am confident I can raise Rs. 8000 arab from this very nation. I claim today we will have to bear no external debt, no bowing before other countries, if we ensure transparency. We will empower NAB, the courts, FBR. Why? Because I am not corrupt myself. I am not afraid of accountability. We are the only party to expel our 20 MPAs over horsetrading. Horsetrading is not new but no one ever took any action against it. -Some expelled MPAs put hands on Quran. I want to tell you if you are watching, I announced no name until I was completely sure. So, if you have any qualms, come to me, I’ll show you your video of counting currency notes. Fourth point: We don’t have investment. Exports are zero. Today I promise we will bring back investment. We will subsidize electricity, gas & diesel.
PM house will have special office to remove any obstacles faced by investors. Overseas Pakistanis will be invited. Ease of doing business will be ensured. This will also create jobs. Sixth point: We will make 50 lac subsidized homes for the homeless. Technical education will be given.
Tourism is the best way to create jobs. My Pakistanis, I want to tell you how blessed you are to have exceptional tourist spots here. While my opponents were sweating in JIT summons, I was looking for tourism spots in KP. I saw such locations that, I have seen several countries, can match to natural beauty anywhere else. Switzerland is a very small country but it makes more money than Pakistan’s total exports. Only on basis of tourism.
We have tourism spots like no other but no one paid heed. Our ‘Kyun nikala?’ PM would get up & fly to London. IA we will make Pakistan a tourism hub.8th point: We will impose Agriculture emergency. Our farmers are our backbone. Right now, our Farmers are in dire situation. Especially sugarcane farmers who are exploited by sugar mill mafia.9th point: We will empower our federation. We will ensure rights of all our smaller provinces. Then we will have 2 more tasks.1) We will announce South Punjab province to be made a new province on administrative unit.
2) FATA will be merged into KP.
People of FATA, I always opposed Musharraf’s decision to go into American war. Inshallah we will bring an empowered Local Body system just like in KP, all over Pakistan. And then environment. Where you stand today in Lhr, it’s the most polluted area. Our river water is contaminated. All our jungles have been wiped out. But commendable of KP to plant more trees. IA we will filter our water also. Second last: Biggest injustice people face is in Police thaana. KP police has no extra judicial murder allegations. Rao Anwar killed innocents in Sindh. Abid Boxer claims he worked for Shahbaz. In KP we have fixed Civil procedures’ courts. No case will go unresolved for more than a year. And lastly, the women. Today I promise Pakistani women three things. My party will ensure we educate our girls. Educated mothers raise educated nation. Whatever I am today is because of my mother. We will open every 2 out of 1 schools for girls. For every 100 colleges, 70 will be for women. We will educate our women. After education, we will empower our women legally. We will replicate KP govt styled women police stations so women are encouraged to report crimes Also we will ensure through legislation that women get their due right in property as per Shariah. Lastly, I want to tell you all my Pakistanis. There were more talented people than me at every stage. What led me here is my vision & ability to dream BIG. There is a Rumi’s quote “Why crawl when you have wings to fly”. Allah has given you immense potential. Allah made the angels and Jinns to bow before humans, the Ashraf ul Makhlooqat. Lastly, I want you all to think big. Dream big. Don’t decide your vote on basis of someone who just carpeted the road near your home. I see people not supporting a politician just because he didn’t shake hands with them. For Allah, come out of this mindset. I’m not doing it for my sake. Imran Khan got a lot more than Imran Khan deserved already. This system cannot propel us any further unless we stand up to the tyrant against it. Naya Pakistan is only possible if we stand with the oppressed, the fruit hawkers, the nurses, the 2.5 children out of school who’s future we have put a stop to. We have to stand for their rights. In every namaz we don’t pray to Allah for taking us to the ‘destination’ of those He blessed. We pray to lead us to the path of those whom Allah blessed. So we have to start raising voice for the oppressed today.” – Imran Khan
