“PMLN Government manipulated and exaggerated growth figures also if the numbers did not agree they would change the differential. Everyone is well aware they could not control the debt issue and borrowed like crazy over the last 5 years. When PMLN tenure ends they will leave us a deficit of about US $ 95-96 billion. Ishaq Dar during last budget overnight announcement of finance bill of 2016 under the guise of debt differential twisted and changed it making picture of the economy distorted. Today PM has hidden and given the amended overnight differential figures. So, with this manipulation and hiding of numbers it will not remove the issue. In Pakistan first 60 years total we had a debt of US $ 40 billion but just in the last 10-year period we managed to accumulate US $ 55 billion and from that the majority about $34 billion is due to PMLN.
Burden of debt becomes an issue from debt to GDP, however if you have a finance minister who is inflated the GDP numbers can you trust those numbers? Secondly of you look at debt to GDP ratio which is about 70% with only US $ 5 billion in reserve as foreign exchange reserve, so this is a serious problem. The inability to repay your debt is the problem.”
