Ahmed Bilal Mehboob President Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency PILDAT says PTV Is not neutral fair or transparent, “The impression of Pakistan media that is given is not correct. Pakistan Television Corporation PTV as a state channel is not neutral it runs on taxpayer’s expense. They should give equal representation to all parties or at least be proportionate. However, it is used for the current government only and as a government spokesperson and that is also not right. Private media channels do not have to be neutral and can take its own stance however they are forced under pressure, just in the last two day 2 Tv Channels have been taken off the screens or when publishing of articles in newspapers are being refused this is not acceptable within media.”
