Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi on Sunday said that people of the country were proud of their all law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) for rendering great sacrifices to ensure peace in Pakistan.

He expressed these views during his visit at Wagah border to witness the flag-lowering ceremony.

The minister said that the courageous role played by the personnel of LEAs had won the hearts of people, adding that it was the government’s responsibility to make investments that put the country on the road to progress and prosperity.

He said that Pakistan is a peaceful country and intends to live in peace with its neighbours.

He said that the country’s future was in safe hands.
