Prime Minister Imran Khan invited the Malaysian entrepreneurs to take advantage of lucrative investment opportunities in Pakistan. The Prime Minister, who spent a busy day in Malaysia, in addition to hold productive meetings with the Malaysian leadership, also met individually with a number of Malaysian Investors.

The Malaysian investors, during their meeting with the prime minister, expressed their interest in investing in Pakistan’s education sector, technology, telecommunication, e-governance & e-commerce, tourism industry, infrastructure development, the prime minister’s affordable housingscheme, solidwaste management, renewable energy, gemstone, heavy industries and Halal food products.

The investors expressed their confidence in Pakistan’s market potential, noting that the investment policy was the most liberal one in the region.
The prime minister assured the investors of the government’s full support and stated that the board of Investment (BOI) chairman would assure smooth and speedy initiation of the projects.
The investors desired to venture in the identified sectors, which were the priority areas of the Government of Pakistan.
