[ Prime Minister chairs high level meeting on GSP+ , Minister for Human Rights, Information Minister, MoS Interior, Advisor on Commerce, senior officials attend the meeting. ]

* PM directs that steps be taken to ensure complete elimination of bonded labour from all parts of the country

* PM directs that all discriminatory sign-board in Clubs (Islamabad club, gymkhana etc) and other public places, placing restrictions on free movement of maids, ayas and domestic servants, be immediately removed.

* PM directs Bureau of Statistics to conduct a country-wide survey on Child labour and subsequently formulation of a comprehensive strategy to extricate such children from poverty and take measures for their education.

* Enforced disappearance is being criminalised by introducing necessary amendments in Pakistan Penal Code.

* PM briefed on progress made towards anti-torture, restricting death penalty, combating domestic violence and other human rights related issues.

* Ensuring and safeguarding human rights is major plank of our religion and enshrined in our constitution:PM

* The Government is firmly committed to protect human rights and promote rights of minorities and marginalised sections of society.
