Khaleej Times Package on High Level Abu Dhabi Delegation lead by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber Minister of State UAE calling on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad (26.10.18) #PrimeMinisterImranKhan A large UAE delegation led by Minister of State and CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, Dr.Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber called on Prime Minister Imran Khan here on Friday. The UAE delegation conveyed clear directions of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed to elevate UAE-Pakistan relationship to a long term strategic comprehensive economic partnership. The Prime Minister welcomed the delegation that had been sent on the specific directions of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of UAE, with whom the Prime Minister met on September 19, 2018 in Abu Dhabi and agreed to strengthen economic, trade and investment relations. The Prime Minister said that the composition and important membership of this delegation reflected UAE’s seriousness about strengthening the historic relations with Pakistan. He highlighted the immense investment opportunities in renewable energy, petroleum and petrochemicals, sea water desalination, agricultural research and infrastructure development in Pakistan. The Prime Minister encouraged the visiting delegation to explore these areas for investment. Minister of State Dr. Al Jaber evinced UAE corporate sector’s interest to invest in Pakistan. He underscored that Pakistan had a lucrative market and a special geographic location. He conveyed UAE’s desire to elevate the relationship to a long term strategic economic partnership. Both sides agreed to achieve real and tangible results in the shortest possible time frame. The Prime Minister was accompanied during the meeting by Ministers for Foreign Affairs, Finance, Power, Planning, Advisor to PM on Commerce, MoS/Chairman BOI and the Foreign Secretary. The Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes for the health and happiness of the UAE leadership. وزیراعظم عمران خان سے متحدہ عرب امارات کے وزیر مملکت اور ابوظہبی نیشنل آئل کمپنی کے چیف ایگزیکٹو آفیسر ڈاکٹر سلطان احمد الجابر کی زیر قیادت ایک بڑے وفد نے جمعہ کو یہاں ملاقات کی اور انہیں متحدہ عرب امارات کے ولی عہد شیخ محمد بن زید النہیان کا متحدہ عرب امارات اور پاکستان کے درمیان طویل مدتی جامع اقتصادی شراکت داری کیلئے پیغام پہنچایا۔ وزیراعظم عمران خان نے وفد کا خیرمقدم کیا جسے متحدہ عرب امارات کے ولی عہد شیخ محمد بن زید النہیان کی خصوصی ہدایت پر پاکستان بھیجا گیا ہے۔ متحدہ عرب امارات کے ولی عہد سے 19 ستمبر کو ابوظہبی میں ملاقات ہوئی تھی اور انہوں نے اقتصادی، تجارتی اور سرمایہ کاری تعلقات کو فروغ دینے پر اتفاق کیا تھا۔ وزیراعظم نے کہا کہ وفد میں شامل اہم ارکان سے پاکستان کے ساتھ تاریخی تعلقات کو مضبوط بنانے کے حوالہ سے متحدہ عرب امارات کی سنجیدگی کی عکاسی ہوتی ہے۔ انہوں نے قابل تجدید توانائی، پٹرولیم، ادویہ سازی، سمندری پانی کو قابل استعمال بنانے، زرعی تحقیق اور بنیادی ڈھانچہ کی ترقی کے شعبوں میں سرمایہ کاری وسیع مواقع کو اجاگر کیا۔
