Ruthless killings, pellet injuries to children and infants, rapes and torture; Indian atrocities in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir continue unabated and so does the spirit and courage of Kashmiris in their fight to achieve the legitimate right to self-determination. Kashmiris have been fervently demanding an end to India’s illegitimate rule, spanning more than 70 long and bloody years. Since 1947, the number of tortures, rapes and killings perpetrated by the Indian occupation forces against innocent Kashmiris has become a case study in unprecedented violence. Thousands of innocent Kashmiris have been brutally tortured and extra-judicially killed during forced disappearances or illegal custody by the Indian occupation forces, which enjoy full immunity under draconian laws. The Report of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) on Jammu and Kashmir echoes Pakistan’s repeated calls to the international community to take stock of India’s brutal use of pellet guns, indiscriminate firing, use of human shields and promulgation of the draconian Armed Force Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and Public Safety Act (PSA) that are making lives of the people in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir a living hell. The observance of the Kashmir Solidarity Day every year on 5th of February commemorates the strong and unflinching resolve of the Kashmiris to achieve the inalienable right to self-determination from Indian subjugation which does not weaken rather strengthens with every passing day and with each new act of Indian cruelty in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir. وزیراعظم عمران خان نے کہا ہے کہ یوم یکجہتی کشمیر، کشمیری عوام کے ناقابل تنسیخ حق خود ارادیت کے حصول کیلئے غیر متزلزل عزم کی تجدید کا دن ہے جو ہر گزرنے والے دن کے ساتھ تقویت پا رہا ہے۔ انہوں نے یہ بات یوم یکجہتی کشمیر کے موقع پر اپنے پیغام میں کہی جو (آج) منگل 5 فروری کو منایا جا رہا ہے۔ وزیراعظم نے کہا کہ سات دہائیاں گزر نے کے باوجود جموں و کشمیر کا تنازعہ حل نہیں ہو سکا، مقبوضہ جموں و کشمیر میں بے گناہوں کے قتل عام، بچوں پر پیلٹ فائرنگ، آبروریزی و تشّدد سمیت بھارتی مظالم جاری و ساری ہیں اور کشمیر ی اپنی ہمت، جرات، بہادری سے حق خود ارادیت کے حصول کےلئے مسلسل کوشاں ہیں۔ وزیراعظم نے کہا کہ کشمیریوں کی جانب سے 70 سے زائد سالوں پر محیط بھارتی مظالم اور ناجائز تسلط کے خاتمہ کا شدت سے مطالبہ کیا جا رہا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ 1947ءکے بعد سے معصوم کشمیریوں پر بھارتی افواج کی جانب سے کئے جانے والے تشّدد، بے حرمتی کے واقعات اور غیر معمولی ظلم و جبر ایک مقدمہ کی صورت اختیار کر چکے ہیں۔ ہزاروں بے گناہ کشمیریوں کو بے رحمانہ تشدد، غیر قانونی حراست کے دوران بھارتی افواج سفاکانہ طریقے سے قتل کر رہی ہیں۔ وزیراعظم نے ہائی کمشنر برائے انسانی حقوق آفس کی مقبوضہ جموں و کشمیر کے بارے میں رپورٹ کا حوالہ دیا جو پاکستان کے بین الاقوامی برادری سے مسلسل کئے گئے مطالبات کی تائید کرتی ہے، جن میں بارہا بھارت کی سفاکانہ جارحیت، اندھا دھند گولا باری، کشمیریوں کے انسانی ڈھال کے طور پر استعمال اور بھارتی مسلح افواج، خصوصی پاور ایکٹ اور پبلک سیفٹی ایکٹ جس کی وجہ سے کشمیریوں کی زندگی جہنم بن گئی ہے، کی طرف توجہ مبذول کرائی گئی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہر سال 5 فروری کو منایا جانے والا ”یوم یکجہتی کشمیر“ کشمیریوں کے بھارتی تسلط کے خلاف اور حق خود ارادیت کےلئے عزم کو مزید مضبوط کرتا ہے، یہ ارادہ ہر گزرنے والے دن اور ہر ڈھائے جانے والے بھارتی ظلم کے ساتھ تقویت پکڑتا جا رہا ہے۔
