The Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) organised a bird showin Peshawar to highlight the importance of beautiful birds in the nature .
A fun filled bird show was held here at the lone five-star hotel on Saturday with an aim to create awareness among the people about the flora and fauna and their different species and how to help in saving them from extinction.

The show, which was the first of its kind, was jointly organized by the Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) and the Pearl Continental Hotel at its Zaver Hall.

They were delighted by the display of different breeds of birds. Beautiful cribbing sound of birds greeted attendees the moment they walked in.

The show also featured various other events including magic show for children, food stalls, face painting and live music programme.

The visitors said that providing such a platform was good gesture on the part of organizers as the lovers of birds were able to bring exotic species for exhibition.

At the same time, they said that they got an opportunity to come out of our homes and enjoy life with our families.

It was refreshing to see the zeal with which bird owners introduced various species to visitors.

Different varieties of birds were on display like cockatoos, macaws, fancy chickens, canaries and pheasants from not only Peshawar but bird lovers from Islamabad, Faisalabad, Nowshera, Charsadda and Lahore also participated in the show.

Veterinarians offered expert advice to people who had questions about their pets. Stalls were set up where vendors sold pet accessories and food and beverages.
