“Nawaz Sharif raised some important points through his press conference yesterday, which I heard and today the newspapers have published. What he stated was the reason why he was removed was because he initiated a treason case against General Musharraf so he having to pay a heavy price and he was threatened not to do but resisted so was punished. So the he said he was punished as the purpose of the cases was to get remove him from PM House and stop the treason case against Musharraf. During his tenure He may have initiated the case against Musharraf. However, General Musharraf was not allowed to leave the country had his name not been removed from the ECL. Who removed the name from ECL? His name on ECL was removed by Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Interior without permission from the PM to remove names from ECL can not take such big step. So as I understand that this logic on General Musharraf was allowed to leave without his (Nawaz Sharif) permission does not seem correct. So Musharraf name was removed on his knowledge and Musharraf was allowed to leave on his knowledge.
Then he stated that an agency chief namely ISI told him he should resign or go on a long vacation. The question is under a constitution we run the entire country’s system so had such an agency’s chief made such comments to at that time the country’s PM and under law and constitution the chief of ISI reports to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the question is as PM why did you not take into advice of Army Chief on this matter and take action against him? You had the option the Government was yours you were the PM ownership should have been taken by you.
